Project cargo typically refers to large, heavy, complex or high-value shipments that cannot be handled by standard transport modes without specialised planning. Examples include industrial machinery, power plant components, wind turbine blades, offshore equipment, railway vehicles and bridge elements.
How far in advance should I contact you for a project shipment?
The earlier the better. For complex projects involving special permits, route surveys or charter vessels, we recommend contacting us at least 4–8 weeks before the planned loading date. Simple OOG moves with existing equipment can sometimes be arranged within a few days.
Do you handle international project shipments?
Yes. We manage project logistics from Turkey to any destination worldwide, and also coordinate origin-third-country projects through our global partner network. All permits, customs clearance, escort and local handling at destination are covered.
What information do I need to provide for a project quote?
To prepare an accurate quote we need: cargo dimensions (L × W × H), total weight, loading and delivery addresses, desired transport mode (road, sea, air or multimodal), and any special requirements such as temperature control or security escort. Photos of the cargo are also helpful.
Is insurance included in the project logistics service?
We strongly recommend and can arrange all-risk project insurance covering the full declared value of the cargo. Coverage extends to all phases: transport, loading, unloading and, where applicable, installation. In the event of a claim, our team manages the surveyor appointment and settlement process.
